KFC is celebrating 30 years in China with a limited-edition Huawei Enjoy 7

Huawei recently released the mid-range Enjoy 7 in China. Now the Chinese smartphone maker has teamed up with KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) and announced a special edition of Enjoy 7 to commemorate KFC's 30th anniversary in China.

For a quick history lesson, KFC opened its first outlet in China a short distance from the Tiananmen Square in Beijing in November 1987, while in the same year Huawei, the world's third best smartphone brand was also founded.

The Enjoy 7 KFC edition comes in KFC's recognizable shiny red color and the rear side is embossed with Colonel Sander's face, along with the date KFC setup shop in China. There's also Huawei's logo as well. It will come pre-loaded with KFC app and KFC will offer 100,000 K Dollars (virtual credits on the KFC app in China) that users can spend on a jukebox service called K-music.

Apart from the special edition tag, the hardware inside is likely to be similar to the regular Enjoy 7. It will feature 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 13MP/5MP cameras, fingerprint scanner and 3200mAh battery.

The Enjoy 7 KFC edition has been priced at CNY 1099 (Rs. 10,500 | $162). It will be sold exclusively in China in limited quantities of 5,000 units via KFC's Tmall store from July 13.
