Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL pricing and render surface

Google's next gen Pixel phones will break cover on October 4, and we already have an idea of what to expect from these devices. For instance, the smaller Pixel 2 will be built by HTC and feature HTC U11 like-squeeze function called Active Edge and Stereo speakers, but ditch the headphone jack, while the bigger Pixel 2 XL will be manufactured by LG, and flaunt a near bezel-less design. Also both are expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform and pack 4GB RAM and single camera.

Now DroidLife has shared press renders of the Pixel 2 phones, along with details regarding pricing, color versions and storage models.

According to the source, the HTC made Pixel 2 will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage models, and carry a price tag of $649 (Rs. 41,700) and $749 (Rs. 48,000) respectively. It comes in three color variants: Kinda Blue, Just Black and Cleary White.

The LG made Pixel 2 XL will also come in 64GB and 128GB storage models, and cost $849 (Rs. 54,500) and $949 (Rs. 60,990) respective. The higher price tag is most likely due to the near bezel-less design, but is cheaper compared to Apple's iPhone X, Samsung's Galaxy S8+/Galaxy Note8 and LG V30. It will be available in Just Black, and Panda-like Black & White mix.

As for the design, The Pixel 2 line will retain the same two-tone glass and metal combo at the rear as the first gen Pixel phone, but this time only the camera &flash module are housed in the glass section, while the fingerprint scanner is placed on the metal housing.

According to earlier reports the Pixel 2 will have 4.97-inch Full HD OLED display, and the Pixel 2 will have 5.99-inch QHD+ OLED display.
