Huawei recently outed an enhanced version of Honor 7 running Android 6.0 Marshmallow in China. Now the company has released the beta version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Honor 7 users in India. (via)
Honor 7 users in India, will first need to register for the update by providing their IMEI number and current software version. You can find the device version number in Settings -> About Phone and the 16-digit IMEI number by dialling *#06#.
You can register for the Marshmallow OTA update by filling out the form here. Huawei will verify the information and will start pushing the OTA update after 24 to 48 hours of submission. The Honor 7 Android Marshmallow update bring EMUI 4.0 and several new features.

Huawei outed the Honor 7 in China back in July and the international version was lauched in Europe in August. Now the Honor 7 has made its way to the Indian market.
Huawei Honor 7 sports 5.2-inch full-HD
(1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by the company's own 64-bit
octa-core Kirin 935 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores at 2.2GHz + four
Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz) paired with Mali-T628 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable up to 128GB via
microSD card. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 on top and will getAndroid 6.0 Marshmallow in February 2016.
Camera features include 20-megapixel
rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture 6P lenses and sapphire glass protection on top. On the front there is an 8-megapixel shooter with LED
flash, f/2.0 aperture and BSI Sensor for capturing better selfies.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G
HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and NFC. It is fueled by 3100mAh
battery and comes with
fast charging capabilities that lets you charge the phone up to 50% in
just 30 minutes and 100% in 1 hour and 25 minutes. It comes in Gold,
Sliver and grey colors.
There is also a fingerprint sensor on
the back of the smartphone below the rear camera that enables users to
unlock the smartphone by just tapping once. There is also a special hardware key on the side, dubbed the Smart Key, lets you
configure custom actions for a single press, double press and long
press. Also on board is an IR blaster letting you use the
smartphone as a universal remote. There's a voice control feature
present as well, along with a hardware-based SOS alert functionality.
The Huawei Honor 7 is priced at Rs. 22,999 in India and will be available via Flipkart from October 15 in Mystery Gray and Fantasy Silver color variants. It comes with a bunch of freebies, covering offers from various
partners such as Paytm, Hungama, Freecharge, FoodPanda, Ditto TV and
Uber, adding up to a total of Rs 14,000 worth of app and content gifts.
