Kingston is launching a new secure USB flash Drive called a Data Traveler 2000 (DT200) in India. It comes with an alphanumeric keypad as a added layer of security to lock the flash drive with a combination of word and numbers.
The DT2000 will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants for Rs. 10,000, Rs. 14,000 and Rs. 18,000 respectively.
To access the content in the drive you will require to enter the pin
number and 10 invalid login attempts will destroy the contents of the
drive. It also comes with auto-lock feature which activates the pin once
you remove the flash drive from any device.
The flash drive can be connected to any device with a USB 2.0 or USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) port, and includes hardware-level full disk AES 256-bit data encryption in XTS mode, and is FIPS 197 certified to meet corporate IT requirement. It sports a durable design and is resistant to water and dust thanks to IP57 rating.
The DT2000 flash drive will be useful for those who carry sensitive data. The Kingston DataTraveler 2000 is available through both online and offline channels, but you can get it for cheaper rate on Amazon India.
Kingston at CES 2017 has outed DataTraveler Ultimate GT, which it claims to be the world's largest capacity flash drive offering up to 2TB storage capacity.
The DataTraveler Ultimate GT will be available in 1TB and 2TB capacities. The company claims that the 2TB capacity flash drive is capable of storing 70 hours of 4K videos.
It features a USB 3.1 connector for fast data transfers and is compatible with major desktop operating system including Windows, Chrome OS, Linux and macOS.
The flash drive sports a shock resistant zinc alloy metal casing and measures 72 x 26.9 x 21mm, making it smaller than external SSD or HDD.
The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate GT ships in February 2017 and is backed by five year warranty. The pricing is not yet known.
Kingston has launched DT50 USB 3.1 flash drive in India. It comes with storage capacity of 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB with backward compatible with existing USB 2.0 ports.
The 8GB, 16GB DT50 USB 3.1 pen drive offers rear speed of 30MB/s and write speed of 5MB/s, while the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB model offer 100MB/s read speed and 15MB/s write speed.
In terms of design, the pen drive comes with capless metal casing and colorful accents that range by capacity.
The DT50 USB 3.1 pen drives are priced at Rs. 375 (8GB), Rs. 500 (16GB), Rs. 850 (32GB), Rs. 1,500 (64GB) and Rs. 2,000 (128GB).

Kingston has launched its affordable UV400 Solid State Drive (SSD) in India. The SSD will be available with 120GB and 240GB capacity, priced at Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,999 respectively.
The Kingston UV400 is powered by four-channel Marvell controller for read speeds of up to 550mbps and write speed of up to 500mbps, that is 10x faster than a 7200RPM HDD, which allows for fast boot times, application loading and file transfers.
It has a rugged design making it more durable than a mechanical hard disk drive and is shock and vibration resistant for reliable use in notebooks and other mobile computing devices. The Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3C, a hybrid flash drive for smartphones and tablets with USB Type-C connector is now available for purchase in India. It comes in three variants 16GB, 32GB and 64GB priced at Rs. 800, Rs. 1,200 and Rs. 2,000 and is exclusively available from Flipkart.
The USB Type-A slot is fixed on one end, while the USB Type-C port has been placed on the other. The USB drive is is compatible with USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 ports, and lets you connect it to the PCs, laptop or Mac to transfer files. The 16GB variant offers read/write speed of 100mbps and 10mbps respectively, while the 32GB and 64GB variant offers read/write speeds of 100mbps and 15mbps respectively.
The USB Type-C enables a single port function as a point for data transfer, video output, charging and even power external devices. Kingston is also providing a protective case to safeguard the USB Type-A and USB Type-C slots.

The HyperX Savage USB Flash Drive is backed by a five-year warranty. Kingston did not reveal the pricing details, but its was spotted in Europe listed at around €36 (Rs. 2,500) for the 64GB, €76 (5,300) for the 128GB and €120 (Rs. 8,500) for the 256GB
version. It is expected to be available across India by Mid-December 2015.
