Motorola released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto X Play earlier this year in India, and has now started rolling out Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) update for the Moto X Play in the country. The latest firmware update adds support for new emojis, improved security and a couple of new features.
After the update, Moto X Play will support Unicode 8.0 emojis including volleyball, taco, middle finger, champagne bottle, and 100 others including new faces for rolling eyes, thickness and thinking. Users will also be able to launch camera by double pressing the power button, and turn off and on the camera shutter at any time. The update also brings improved stability and several fixes. Android security patches for the month of March is also included in the update.
The Android 6.0.1 update for the Moto X Play bumps the version to v24.61.5, weighs in at 387.4MB in size and is being released OTA (over-the-air).

As expected, Motorola has launched the Moto X play in India. The phone comes with metallic accents, replaceable colors and flip shells, and a water-repellent coating. The version launching in India comes with dual SIM support that accepts nano SIM cards. It has Moto Voice, Moto Display, Moto Assist and Moto Actions.

hours of battery life with mixed usage.
It also comes with TurboPower 25 Charger
that will quick charge the device within minutes. It can be bought seperately for Rs. 1,000.
Moto X Style comes in Black and White colors. The 16GB model is priced at 18,499 and the 32GB model costs 19,999. Moto X Play will go on sale via Flipkart, Motorola's exclusive
online retail partner, from midnight Monday. At the said price it becomes the most affordable phone to pack 1080p display and 21-megapixel main camera.

Motorola is all set to bring the Moto X play to India. The company has sent out press invites for the launch of Moto X Play in the country on September 14.
The company also teased the launch of Moto X Play on its official Twitter India account by posting an image which read "No more getting dumped by your phone. Your perfect partner
is coming with 30 hours of battery backup. #XOMotoX". The phone. In addition Flipkart has dedicated a page to the Moto X Play, so it is expected to go on sale on the same day it is launched.
To remind you, the Moto X Play was launched back in July as a toned-down variant of Moto X Style. It features 5.5-inch 1080p display and is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor with 2GB RAM. It comes in two storage models- 16GB and 32GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card up to 128GB. For imaging there is 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 5-megapixel front shooter. The 4G LTE enabled phone is fueled by 3630mAh battery.
There is no word on pricing of the Motorola Moto X Play, but a recent
Zauba listing revealed the declared value for the imported unit to be
Rs. 22,228. This is not the final retail price due to the exclusion of
taxes and other charges.
Motorola also announced the Moto X Play along with the Moto X Style. It is a less premium variant and features metallic accents and water repellant coating.
