World's first liquid cooled laptop Asus ROG GX700 launched in India starting at Rs. 4,12,900


Asus today launched two new high-end Windows 10 gaming laptops in India: ROG GX700 and GL502. The ROG GX700 is the world's first liquid-cooled laptop, and comes with a detachable ROG-exclusive Hydro Overclocking system cooling module that has dual 92mm radiators, capable of dissipating over 500w of heat. The ROG GL502 on the other hand is a mid-range gaming notebook.

The ROG GX700 sports 17.3-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) display with NVIDIA G-Sync technology and is powered by asixth generation Intel 'Skylake' Core i7-6820HK processor that's clocked at 2.7GHz (Turbo up to 3.6GHz). The base model offer 16GB DDR4 RAM, while the top end model has 64GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD storage. The graphics is handled by NVIDIA GTX 980 GPU that has a dedicated memory of 8GB DDR5 VRAM. 

Other features include HD webcam, 2 x USB 3.1 Type-C ports, 3 x USB 3.0 ports, a RJ45 LAN jack, an HDMI port, mini display port, thunderbolt port and a SD card reader. The laptop comes packed in specially made ROG themed briefcase.

ROG GL502 offers 15.6-inch 4K UHD display, Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX970M GPU w/ dedicated 6GB VRAM,  up to 16GB RAM, up to 256GB SSD, up to 1TB HDD, an HDMI port and Bang & Olufsen speakers.

The Asus ROG GX700 gaming laptop will be available at a starting price of Rs. 4,12,990 only through request via Asus India website. The stocks will be limited. The ROG GL502 will be starting at Rs. 1,27,990 is available via all Asus channels and Exclusive Stores across the country.

Asus ROG GX700 is a water-cooled 4k gaming laptop with G-Sync



At IFA trade show in Berlin, Asus announced its latest addition to its ROG (Republic of Gamers) gaming laptop linup, ROG GX700, water-Cooled 4K Gaming Laptop with G-Sync. It sports the new ROG color scheme with Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper accents. 

Asus GX700 sports a 17-inch 4K IPS display with 3840 x 2160 pixels screen resolution and is equipped with 6th gen Intel K-SKU processor that can be overlocked and NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card. It runs Windows 10. It will be available with the choice of SSD and HDD. Other specs include Thunderbolt 3.0 and a revamped keyboard with much deeper keys.

The main highlight is the bulky water cooling system with a pump and radiator that is plugged to the backside. It can be unplugged if the notebook needs to be transported. Maximum thermal design power the cooling system can remove from CPU and GPU are not known.
Not much is known about the Asus GX700. Concrete details will be out during its release sometime in Q4. The prices will start from $1,499.
