Meizu m2 with 5-inch display, 13MP camera, 4G LTE goes official
China based Meizu has announced the m2 at an event in China. The handset supports global TD-LTE and FDD-LTE networks including support for Indian 4G bands. It comes with a new mBack home button below the display that supports mechanical and capacitive touch.
Meizu m2 features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display with AGC Dragontrail Glass protection. Inside there is an 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor paired with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with FlyMe OS 4.5 on top and houses Hybrid Dual SIM slot. The primary SIM slot can also be used as microSD card slot that accepts up to 128GB microSD cards.
Camerawise, it sports 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5p lens and Gorilla Glass 3 protective lens glass. On the front there is a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 4p lens for taking selfies. the front camera comes with FotoNation 2.0 smart selfie enhancement system and Face AE face light boost to quality self potraits.
On the connectivity front it supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/GLONASS. It is fueled by 2500mAh battery that promises to deliver 23 hours of talk time on 2G networks, 4G internet surfing for 10 hours, HD video playback of 10 hours, music playback of 45 hours, and a standby time of 680 hours. It comes in White, Grey, Blue and Pink Colors.
Meizu m2 is priced at CNY 599 (US$ 95 | Rs. 6,000) and will go on sale in China starting August 3.
