At Rs. 501, ChampOne C1 boasts fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE, 2GB RAM and more

After the controversial debut of Ringing Bells Freedom 251, Docoss X1 and Namotel Acche Din smartphones priced under Rs. 1,000, with decent specs, we now have a new ultra-affordable smartphone dubbed ChampOne C1 in the Indian market, that carries a price tag of Rs. 501.

Similar to the other three smartphones, the ChampOne C1 offers impressive specs for the price, which is too hard to believe. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop and flaunting a 5.1-inch 720p (HD) display, the ChampOne C1 has MediaTek MT6735 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. For photography, it comes with 8-megapixel rear camera (w/ LED flash) and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The phone has dual-SIM slots and surprisingly also boasts fingerprint scanner and support for 4G networks. It is fueled by 2500mAh battery.

Considering the price of Rs. 501, the hardware looks way to good, unless it's a fairy tale. But there's a catch, according to media reports, the ChampOne C1's price of Rs. 501 is currently for sales promotion, and afterwards it will be priced around Rs. 8,000.

Just like its counterparts, it is not known if the phone at Rs. 501 will ever reach your hands. However, you can give it a try, by registering for the flash sale here, which will take place on September 2. The phone is only available via COD (Cash-on-delivery), but you will have to pay Rs. 51 upfront of registrations, which seems fishy.
