Videocon Cube 3 with 5-inch display, 3GB RAM, 4G VoLTE launched for Rs. 8,499


Videocon has launched a new 4G smartphone in India dubbed Cube 3 running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.  The company has also partnered with Reliance Jio for the Jio Welcome Offer, to offer free Jio SIM with unlimited voice calling, internet browsing, SMS and access to Jio Suite of apps till December 31, 2016.

The Videocon Cube 3 comes with 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved glass display with Dragon Trail glass protection and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor backed by Mali T720 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, which can be further increased via microSD card.

It gets 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The dual-SIM phone supports 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. A 3000mAh battery keeps it running.

The Cube 3 comes pre-loaded with SOS-Be Safe, which will come handy in case of emergency. The app allows users to send their location to their preferred contacts by pressing the power button three time. It also boasts features like Walk With Me and Reach on Time. Walk With Me feature shares the user's location every few minutes or miles whereas, Reach On Time alerts your contacts if you don't reach a specific destination at the set time.

Videocon says the app has been optimized to work with phones having 256MB RAM or 2G connectivity. The app will also be available for download on Play Store as well for other devices.

Priced at Rs. 8,499, the Videocon Cube 3 will be available via offline stores across the country.
