Lenovo Phab Plus with 6.8-Inch display launched in India for Rs. 20,990

Lenovo's Phab Plus was unveiled in China back in August and was later announced for global market at the IFA in September. Now, Lenovo India has launched the Phab Plus in India.

Lenovo Phab Plus comes with a screen so big, that it is capable of delivering the experience you expect from a tablet. It sports a 6.8-inch 1080p display and is equipped with and1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU 2GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Vibe UI on top and comes with Hybrid Dual SIM support (second nano SIM slot can also be used as microSD slot)

For imaging there is 13-megapixel Omnivision camera with dual-tone LED flash and the on the front sits a 5-megapixel camera to shoot selfies. It has dual sim functionality and on the connectivity front the phone supports 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port. 
 
Considering the large display size, Lenovo has packed a large 3500mAh battery which can deliver up to 24 hours of talk time and up to 350 hours of standby time. There is also Dolby Atmos surround sound. It also comes with software features for comfortable one-handed usage. The device is just 7.6mm thick, has uni-body metal build and comes in Gunmetal Platinum color.

Lenovo Phab Plus is priced at Rs. 20,900 and will be made available to buy from Croma and Reliance retail stores. It is already available to purchase online via Amazon India at a discounted price of Rs. 18,490.

Lenovo announces Phab ($179), Phab Plus ($299) for international markets

Lenovo Phab Plus was launched in China last month. Now at IFA 2015, Berlin, Lenovo has introduced the phablet for the international market, along with the new Phab which features a slightly bigger display and is less loaded device than the Phab Plus.

The Lenovo Phab comes with 6.98-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by quad-core Snapdragon processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Vibe UI on top the dual-SIM phone supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. For taking photos you get a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel selfie camera. It is fueled by 4250mAh battery and has Dolby Atmos 3 surround sound support. The Phab comes in Tuxedo Black, Polar White, Aqua Blue or Cherry Red colors.

As for the Phab Plus it comes has 6.8-inch Full HD display, 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage and is fueled by 3500mAh battery. It houses Hybrid dual-SIM slot. Rest of the innards are same as the Phab. It comes in Gunmetal Grey, Titanium Silver and Champagne Gold colors.

The Lenovo Phab Plus and Phab are priced at $299 (Rs. 20,000) and $179 (Rs. 12,000) accordingly. Both will starting rolling out in Southeast Asia, India, Middle East, Latin America and Eastern Europe later this month.

Lenovo Phab Plus with 6.8-inch display, Snapdragon 615 SoC announced


In case Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+'s 5.7-inch display is small for you then Lenovo has something bigger that may tempt you. The Chinese tech giant has launched a phone with 6.8 display and is calling it Phab Plus. The same device was certified by TENAA in June.

Lenovo Phab Plus features 6.8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. There is microSD card slot present for storage expansion. The device doesn't come with microSD card slot instead the microSD card users the second SIM slot. Users will not be able to  take advantage of extended storage and dual-SIM at the same time. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Vibe UI on top.

For imaging there is 13-megapixel Omnivision camera with Dual-LED flash and the on the front sits a 5-megapixel to shoot selfies. It has dual sim functionality and on the connectivity front the phone supports 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port.

The device measures 96.6 x 186.6 x 7.6 mm, weighs 220 grams and comes in Metallic Grey, Midnight Blue, Neon Pink and Elegant Silver platinum colors

Lenovo Phab Plus is priced at CNY 2,599 ($406 | Rs. 27,000) and will be available exclusively via China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile. There is no word on its global availability.

Earlier this year, Huawei launched P8 Max which also has 6.8-inch display.
