HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle, Desire 10 Pro gets official

HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle

HTC has officially unveiled its new mid-range Desire series smartphone dubbed Desire 10 Lifestyle and Desire 10 Pro. The duo sports metallic outlines and a matte finish body that comes in Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue or Valentine Lux color. They run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and each new Desire series phone have a highlighting feature.

The premium of the duo, Desire 10 Pro has a fingerprint scanner at the back, while the Desire 10 Lifestyle features 24-bit Hi-Res audio and HTC BoomSound HiFi Edition speakers powered by Dolby Audio, and built-in DAC from immersive media experience.

The HTC Desire 10 LifeStyle has 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super LCD display with a layer of Corning's Gorilla Glass on top, and is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor aided by Adreno 305 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-baord storage is 32GB, which can be further increased via microSD card (up to 2TB). For photography, it offers 13MP rear camera with an LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and BSI sensor, 5MP front camera with f/2.8 aperture and BSI sensor for selfies. Connectivity duties are handled by dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 2700mAh battery.

The Desire 10 Pro also features a 5.5-inch display with Corning's Gorilla Glass protection, but offers Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen resolution. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor backed by Mali T720 GPU and comes in two variants – 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage depending on the market. The phone gets 20MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Laser Auto Focus, and 13-megapixel front camera for selfies. Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFI 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and A-GPS. A 3000mAh battery keeps the phone running.

The HTC The Desire 10 Lifestyle will be available in the UK and other markets starting today for £249 ($324 | Rs. 22,000) for the base model with 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage. The Desire 10 Pro will go on sale in October (pricing not known). Both phones are also listed on HTC's India website, which indicates an imminent launch in the country.
