Apple releases iOS 8.4.1 for all supported devices; Fixes several Apple Music bugs

Apple released iOS 8.4.1, a minor update that fixes bugs in Apple Music and the revamped Music app to all supported iPhones and iPads. This update comes six week after Apple released iOS 8.4 to the public. The maintenance update includes several issue fixes for Apple Music and Beats 1.

Apart from fixing several Apple Music bugs, the update fixes an issue that could prevent some iOS users from turning the iCloud Music Library on.

Full iOS 8.4.1 changes:

• Resolves issues that could prevent turning on iCloud Music Library
• Resolves an issue that hides added music because Apple Music was set to show offline music only
• Provides a way to add songs to a new playlist if there aren’t any playlists to choose from
• Resolves an issue that may show different artwork for an album on other devices
• Resolves several issues for artists while posting to Connect
• Fixes an issue where tapping Love doesn’t work as expected while listening to Beats 1

The update is available for all iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches capable of running iOS 8. The latest update can be downloaded over-the-air (OTA) or by connecting your iOS devices to iTunes.

Apple's iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 Now Up for Pre-Orders in India

E-commerce websites Flipkart and Infibeam have started taking pre-orders for Apple iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 in India.  According to sources, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 will  be shipped by the end of this month.

iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 come with iOS 8.1 including Continuity features across iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite which enable Apple products to work together. They are available in silver, space grey and in Gold colour variant. both tablets are equipped with Touch ID fingerprint sensor and feature 1.2- megapixel Facetime HD cameras, LTE dual-band Wi-Fi and bluetooth 4.0.

Individually, the Apple iPad Air 2 features a 9.7 inch Retina display. It is powered by a 64-bit Apple A8x chip with and M8 Motion core processor. Camera features include 8-megapixel iSight camera. On the other hand, the iPad mini 3 features 7.9-inch Retina display and is powered by a 64-bit A7 chip, with M7 motion co-processor and 5-megapixel iSight camera.

The Apple iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 will be available in 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants.

The Apple iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi only model will cost Rs 35,900 for 16GB variant, Rs 42,900 for the 64GB variant and Rs 49,900 for the 128GB variant. The iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi + Cellular models is priced at Rs. 45,900 for the 16GB variant, Rs. 52,900 for the 64GB variant and Rs. 59,900 for the 128GB variant.

The Apple mini 3 Wi-Fi only model will cost Rs 28,900 for 16GB variant, Rs 35,900 for the 64GB variant and Rs 42,900 for the 128GB variant. The iPad Mini 3 with Wi-Fi + Cellular models is priced at Rs. 38900 for the 16GB variant, Rs. 45,900 for the 64GB variant and Rs. 52,900 for the 128GB variant.
