PiPO packs Windows 10 PC inside a folding keyboard


Chinese manufacturer PiPO has introduced an interesting Windows 10 PC that has a form factor of keyboard. The PiPO KB2 is a tiny PC that crams the hardware inside a foldable keyboard case that you can fold for better portability, and put inside your bag or purse and carry it around easily.

Inside there is an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 (Cherry Trail processor), 2GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage. It houses a USB 3.0 port, a micro USB port, a USB 2.0 port, an audio jack and an HDMI port to connect to TV or monitor. For wireless connectivity it supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth. It is backed by 2500mAh battery.

There is another Keyboard PC, the PiPO KB1, with the hardware inside a normal keyboard. It is a bit larger and has room for more hardware and extra ports, and also has a built-in trackpad. The PiPo KB1 comes in two models, the first model has an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 (Cheryy Trail processor), 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB on-board storage. The second model features Intel Atom Z3736F/Z3735F (Bay Trail) processor with 2GB RAM.


Both models come with 2 x USB 2.0, RJ-45 Ethernet port, microSD card slot, a VGA connector and an HDMI port for connecting to TV or monitor. It supports 802.11ac WiFi (including WiDi support) for wireless connectivity and comes with dual-stereo speakers, a built-in touchpad and a 6000mAh battery.

The PiPO KB1 is already available for purchase in China, while the KB2 foldable mini-keyboard PC is expected to go on sale later this year.

Pipo X9S tablet mini PC comes with Cherry Trail, 4GB RAM, Windows 10


China based device maker Pipo has launched a refreshed model of its tablet mini PC X9, dubbed X9S. The refreshed model gets a powerful processor and twice as much as RAM as the X9.

Just like the X9, the X9S also has a form factor that can be best described as a tablet that is permanently connected to a docking station.By connecting a mouse, keyboard and an external display, users can use it as a full-fledged PC.

The Pipo X9S sports a 8.9-inch touchscreen display and is equipped with Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 quad-core processor clocked at 1.84GHz with Intel HD Graphics Gen8, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It runs Windows 10. For comparison, the X9 was equipped with a Bay Trail processor and 2GB RAM.

There is a microSD card reader (up to 64GB accepted), 4 x USB 2.0 ports, 10/100 Ethernet port, HDMI port and a headphone jack. For wireless connectivity there is WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Pipo X9 is a dual-boot mini PC


Pipo X9 is a TV Box that also works as a standalone tablet PC and functions on Android as well as Windows. X9's design has a unique form factor that can be described as a tablet, that is permanently connected to a docking station. By connecting a mouse, keyboard and an external display, users can use it as a full-fledged PC.

The Pipo X9 has an 8.9-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200) LCD display and is equipped with 1.83GHz Intel Z3736F Bay Trial processor, Intel HD graphics, 2GB GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage, further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It comes with dual boot support for Windows 10 and Android 4.4 KitKat.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, four full-sized USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet Jack, HDMI port, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and RJ45. There is also microphone and inbuilt speaker.

Priced at $134, Pipo X9 is currently available for pre-orders at Geekbuying and Gearbest. The X9 will ship starting some time in October.

Pipo announces X1, its first PC-on-stick


Chinese tablet maker Pipo announced its first PC-on-stick dubbed Pipo X1. It was initially unveiled at Computex last month, where Ben Lao CEO of Pipo showed a prototype of Pipo X1. Now the company have revealed the specs of Pipo X1.

The Pipo X1 looks similar to the Intel compute Stick, it seems like most of the PC-on-stick's are based on Intel's reference design and offers the same specs.
The Pipo X1 is powered by an Intel Atom Z3735F processor paired with 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB and there is a microSD card reader if you want more storage. It has a micro-USB port for power, a second micro-USB port which can be used to connect peripherals (Keyboard, mouse, etc.) and a full-sized USB port. There is also supports for WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth connectivity. It features a fanless design and sports has a metal case with extra ventilation.

Pipo will offer the X1 PC-on-stick with a choice of Windows or Android and the device may also be available with dual-OS option.

Pipo C2 Smartwatch is made in China and costs $35 (Rs. 2100)


Chinese technology company Pipo unveiled a new smartwatch - Pipo C2.

The Pipo C2 has a square watch face with round edges and detachable wristband. It connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. If the connection is lost it will issue a audible alarm. 

The smartwatch can be used for making and answering calls, reading messages, take pictures at a long distance, controlling the playing of the music, alarm clock, calendar, calculator and many more. The Pipo C2 does not run on Android Wear.

The Dial can be detached from the strap. It has a power button, volume button, microUSB port for charging, return key and function key. You can also use the watch to dial your phone and directly make a phone call and use the speakerphone that is integrated into the Pipo C2 to talk. When on a call it will allow you to perform other tasks simultaneously on your handset like watching videos, play games, chatting with friends, etc.

It also has pedometer function that can be used to record steps, calories, speed and mileage and other movement information.

The Pipo C2 is priced at 199 yuan ($35 | Rs. 2000) and will be soon launched in China.
