Domestic smartphone brand, Spice is launching a new budget smartphone called V810. The brand's latest smartphone offering comes with metal body with 2.5D curved glass on the front and rear mounted fingerprint scanner. Interestingly the rear panel of the phone reminds of Google's Pixel phones.
The Spice V810 features 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor paired with Mali T720 GPU and 3GB RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage, which is expandable. The camera department include 8MP front and rear camera, both assisted by an LED flash unit.
It runs Android Nougat, supports 4G VoLTE, and has separate slots for dual-SIM and microSD card. A 2700mAh battery keeps the lights on. The device also comes with dual-apps feature, that lets you set up two different social media accounts for WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
The Spice V801 is priced at Rs. 7,999 and is available from offline stores across the country.
Spice, once a popular mobile brand in India, almost after two years, is coming back to the handset market with three smartphones and five feature phones. Spice is a joint venture a joint venture between Spice Mobility and Transsion Holdings, popular known for its mobile brands like Tecno, itel and Infinix.
The brand's new product portfolio are segmented as F series (music, fun, fashion, K series (creative, fashion), V series (value premium, with focus on performance and camera), and Z series feature phones. The price will start at Rs. 850, and goes all the way up to Rs. 9,500. Spice has revealed very little about the specs, but the price is known.
Features and pricing of Spice's new handsets
F series — F301 and F302 will be priced at Rs. 5,590 and Rs. 6,290 respectively. They will have fingerprint scanner.
K series — K601 is priced at Rs. 7,290 and will have fingerprint scanner and 2GB RAM.
V series — The V series phones will be announced later. It will also include fingerprint scanner, and the main highlight is its front and rear camera.
Z series — The Z series feature phone include Z101 (Rs. 1,240), Z102 (Rs. 1,180), Z201 (Rs. 1,625), Z202 (Rs. 1,690) and Z203 (Rs. 1,850). The Z201 and Z301 come equipped with Dual Speakers; The Z101 and Z202 come with 2500mAh battery that offers up to 35 hrs of talk time and up to 500 hrs of standby time; additionally, The Z202 comes with the Power bank feature.
The eight handsets will be available in New Delhi starting July 11, 2017, and get a wider release later. Spice will also offer one year replacement warranty for all its device, and will leverage distribution strength created for itel and TECNO in India.

Flipkart is all set to enter the offline sales market to spread its presence to not so tech savvy users who prefer offline retailer more than Online market. For this Flipkart has joined hands with Spice Hotspot, to showcase its smartphone protfolio in retail stores across India.
Flipkart is calling this as 'assisted e-commerce model' as trained store staff will assist customers to place their order on the Flipkart app, and they can take the delivery of the phone at the store or at their home.
Both the companies will set up exclusive experience zones to live demo the smartphones in these stores. The displayed products will be exclusive to Flipkart and not found on any other online and offline retailer.
Flipkart here aims to attract users who want to feel the phone in their hands befor buying one, which is offcourse not possible when buying them online. This could be mainly useful in Tier-3 and Tier-4 towns where online shopping is still catching up.
"This initiative will empower and ease customers from smaller cities to shop online" said Sandeep Karwa, Flipkart retail director, in a statement.
Spice's latest smartphone, the XLife 511 Pro is listed on its website with a price tag of Rs. 5,799. It is also available to buy from Flipkart for Rs. 4,989 and comes with a free flip cover and selfie stick.
Spice XLife 511 Pro features 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with Mali 400 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable storage (up to 32GB via microSD card). It runs the now dated Android 4.4 KitKat, has dual-SIM slots and supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity.
There is an 8-megapixel camera on the back accompanied by LED flash. For clicking selfies you get a 3.2-megapixel front shooter. It is fueled by 1750mAh battery. The device has a thickness of 9.4mm and comes in Dark Blue, Black w/ Gold and Blue w/ Silver colors.
Spice Mobility has released two new affordable tablets dubbed MI-730 and MI-710 in India. Spice MI-730 comes with dual-SIM slot and voice calling capabilities while MI- 710 is a WiFi only tablet, both runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
Spice MI-730 features 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display and is powered by 1.3GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB RAM. On-board storage is 4GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Camerawise, it sports 2-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel VGA front facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G (with voice calling feature), WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG. It is fueled by 2800mAh battery. It comes with leather like rear panel.
Spice MI-710 is powered by an 1.3GHz quad-core processor and sports 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. Rest of the specs are similar to Spice MI-730.
The Spice MI-730 comes in white color and is priced at Rs. 4999.
The Spice MI-710 comes in black color and is priced at Rs. 3999. Both tablets are available via Homeshop 18. According to the listing both the tablets will come with a free keyboard.
Last month Spice launched its new XLife series of Smartphone in India targeted at first time smartphone buyers in teir two and teir three cities. Under the new series the company launched four handsets - XLife 404, XLife 431q, XLife 431q Lite and XLife 512. All the handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat and has dual-SIM support.
Now, the comapny has added a new handset to its XLife portfolio dubbed XLife 406. It is listed on the company site for Rs. 3,799. There are no details about the availability.
The XLife 406 featurs 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) WVGA IPS display and is powered by 1GHz single-core processor paired with 512MB RAM and Mali 400 GPU. On-board storage is 4GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. Like its siblings, the XLife 406 runs Android 4.4 KitKat and has dual-SIM slot.
Camerwise it sports 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. On the connectivity front it supports 3G, GPRS/EDGE, WiFi, Micro-USB and Bluetooth. It is fueled by 1450mAh battery that promises to deliver up to 7 hours of talktime. It measures 124 x 63 x 10.8mm and comes with either black or white exteriors.
Spice Mobiles has a launched a slew of affordable phones in the new X life series dubbed XLife 404, XLife 431q, XLife 431q Lite and XLife 512. All the phones are priced below 4,500 and will be available via the company store Saholic and retail stores as well.
According to the company, the X Life series is specially designed for consumers seeking an exciting combination of innovation and great design.

Last year in August, Spice launched the first ever Firefox-powered smartphone, the Fire One Mi-FX1 for the Indian market. The handset was priced at an affordable Rs. 2,299 and was targeted to first time smartphone buyers.
Now, Spice Mobility has launched its second Firefox OS-based handse, Fire One Mi-FX2 in India. It is priced at Rs. 2,799 and is available via Saholic in Tangy Orange, Midnight Black and Ash Silver colors. The handset does not bring many hardware upgrades over its predecessor except a better camera and 3G network support.
Spice Fire One Mi-FX2 sports 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen display with 320x480 pixels screen resolution. It is powered by an 1GHz processor paired with 256MB RAM.
The handset comes with 512MB internal storage and microSD card slot for storage expansion. It runs Firefox OS 1.4 and offers dual-SIM support.
Camera features include 2-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. On the connectivity front it supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS. A 1100mAh battery fuels the Spice Fire One Mi-FX2.
Spice Mobility's latest offering is the entry-level smartphone, the Stellar 405. It is a dual-SIM smartphone and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
Spice Stellar 405 features 4-inch (800x480 pixels) WVGA display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with Adreno 302 GPU.
The Stellar 405 packs 512MB RAM and comes with 4GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot is present that accepts up to 32GB microSD cards.
Camera features include 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPS. It also comes with multiple Indian language support.
A 1500mAh battery runs the show on the device which is rated to deliver up to 5 hours of
talk time and 6 hours of standby time on 2G networks.
The Spice Stellar 405 is available in only Midnight Black color at Saholic.com for Rs. 3,299.

The Spice Stellar 519 sports 5-inch FWVGA (480x854) display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU. The handset packs 1GB RAM and comes with 8GB of internal storage that is further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and supports dual-SIM.
Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 3.2-megapixel front facing camera.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS and 3G. Spice Stellar 519 includes a 2500mAh battery, has a thickness of 9.5mm and features support for multiple languages.
The Spice Steallar 519 comes with a price tag of Rs. 8,499 and will be available across the country via major retail stores, Spice Hotspot stores and Spice's online retail store Saholic.com
At the given price, the Stellar 519, will compete with other budget smartphones that include Lenovo A6000 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Moto E (2nd gen) LTE.
Spice Mobility launched a new budget Android smartphone in the Stellar series dubbed Stellar 526n Octa.
The Spice Stellar 526n Octa is a dual-SIM device which runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is expected to receive Android Lollipop in the near future. It sports a 5-inch (720x1280) HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor paired with Mali 450 GPU and 1GB RAM.
The smartphone comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage and microSD card slot (up to 32GB microSD card supported). Camera features include 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and 3.2-megapixel front facing camera.

Spice Mobility announced the launch of a new Android One Smartphone in Indonesia, Nepal and Bangladesh. In Indonesia the device will be released under the brand name Nexian Journey One. There are no details of the model names for the other two regions - Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The Nexian Journey One will carry the same specs as the Spice's Dream Uno which was launched in India last year in September. It will be the first smartphone to run Android Lollipop 5.1, which is not yet officially unveiled by Google. According to Spice the latest version of the Android OS will offer improved battery life, enhanced security features and smarter notifications.
Coming to the specs, it features Android 4.5-inch IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage [microSD card support].
